Bepanthen® Ointment for cracked skin
Topical moisturisers are of benefit in managing xerosis; an effective moisturiser will ideally include at least both an occlusive and humectant to achieve beneficial hydrating properties.1

Bepanthen® Ointment
Contains 5% dexpanthenol (pro-vitamin B5), which supports skin regeneration from within:2-4
Dexpanthenol is rapidly absorbed into the deeper layers of the epidermis where it enhances natural cell renewal.1
Dexpanthenol: it has been suggested that dexpanthenol promotes epidermal regeneration by enhancing epidermal differentiation and lipid synthesis.2

Forms an effective lipid barrier:2,5
- • Contains lanolin, which features many of the lipid groups present in the human stratum corneum.6,7
- • Provides a transparent, ‘breathable’ barrier that enables water exchange and promotes optimal moisture levels.6
Lanolin: acts as an occlusive that forms a hydrophobic breathable barrier over the skin, preventing transepidermal water loss.1

Bepanthen® Ointment
